Call on the Federal Attorney-General and his State and Territory counterparts to legislate for police to owe a duty of care to victims of aggravated child sexual assault (and victims of other serious crimes).

A duty of care should involve legislated minimum standards for police investigations.

This needs to be backed up by independent and transparent police integrity and complaints mechanisms. We need to put an end to police investigating police.
